Iceland Pt.1.
In January I traveled to Iceland with two friends on a sort of surf/explore adventure. We rented a van more suitable for sleeping two and proceeded to navigate our way around the island making our way between waterfalls and ice covered beach. It was one of the more amazing places I have been to, the ocean, landscape and weather are just so raw at that time of year you are constantly in awe of everything you see. There was only a small window of light each day so we would normally wake up in the dark and start driving to where we wanted to begin our day. It got down to minus 15 at night and we were waking up every morning to ice that had formed inside our van. One second you could not see through the snow and there was complete silence the next the rain and wind were so strong we thought everything would be ripped off the top of our little van. I am sure it is a beautiful place no matter what time of year but if I was ever to return it would most definitely be in the middle of winter again.
