Sitting Pretty.

Well here I was thinking everything is amazing, I mean it is amazing but, here I was spending money on things thinking yeah this is good. I don't have to worry about anything. I am going to Indo, flying to Melbourne, buying Ksubis, barely working, basically living how I was in Byron, but now I am on the other side of the country. Then BOOM!!! I arrive home and I find this.

Now it is just part of life, but I was like yeah if I stretch my budget I can do Indo, Melbs and then Maybe go home for summer if I want. I don't have $740, well I mean I do but its all I have haha. I spose it wont really matter when I am 90 million richer next week...

When It Rains.

I realised that I have not made a post about waves in well, a long time. That is because the surf has been a big pile of reaking poo! The first 6 weeks I spent in Bunbury was great I was going down the coast 5 days a week getting pumping waves almost everyday, and now, nothing! It has been shit for so long. Yesterday was the first half decent day I can remember for weeks. Its been cold and raining and gail force winds, normally onshore. I got about 5-10 waves yesterday and got out.

Here is a photo of a wave from yesterday. Don't worry, its not actually 10 foot despite what the picture looks like...... This was the best one I saw in some time standing on the beach with my camera, and this was the best day we have had for weeks!

Being no surf these are the things that have been consuming my life.

I just finished reading On The Road(below). Highly recommend it to anyone, and if you are into travel/philosophy you will froth about as hard as I did. When I finished it -in about 4 days- I felt I had read it too fast, so I will need to read it again.

Also I have been shooting half frame again alot lately. I will put up photos when I find someone with a scanner.

Burn This City.

Saturday night turned into Sunday morning, the sun rose and I had not yet been to sleep. The night for me started at work, I finished, changed and headed to Barbados, a local night club/bar. When I arrived there was not much going on, but an hour or so later a few more people I knew arrived and the dance floor was suddenly set alight. After a few hours of this, a few guys getting kicked out and everyone else I was hanging out with myself included being threatened with a forceful early departure the place closed. Kain, Ebony, Bicker and myself headed into town and hung out in the streets before returning to Kain's house at about 2:30am. We put on a Crowded House DVD and sat around talking shit, this led to guitar hero, untill the batteries went flat in the Wii remote. Kain went to bed at around 5:30 and Ebs and myself stayed up watching Arrested Development. In seemingly no time the sky started to lighten and the sun started to present its self to the sleepy Bunbury coast.

The last time I stayed up all night was in Europe, but that was purely being a vicitm of cirumstance and the fact that I was not able to get home until the tube station opened at 6:30am and other than that there was no way home and nothing to do besides stay awake and wait in the hope I did not get robbed in the seedy London streets.
I am not sure why I stayed up all night, I had not been drinking, I have decided that drinking is not a stong point in my life so I am choosing to have another few years of abstinence before partaking again.
My only regret from the night is that I did not have a camera with me.

Tornado in Bunbury

As you can probably gather from the heading, today there was a tornado in my current town of residence, Bunbury. I was at work when it actually hit, so, unfortunately for me I did not get to see it in action. As soon as I finished work though i ran home and got my camera and headed off to the supposed "disaster area". At first when I was told about a tornado I was a little bit suss on it but after seeing its aftermath I cant even imagine how mental it could have been.

Here are a few photos, I think they speak for themselves.

Trampoline in a tree.

Flipped over boat.

One house was destroyed, the other untouched with a rianbow over it, pretty sure Ned Flanders lives in that house!

Some random family. Maccas got its shit all messed up! Best thing about the storm.

Cleaning up after they lost their whole roof.

The same house without a roof.

The Hangover.

Tonight I went and watched The Hangover, it was real funny, I will need to see it again though. Half way through a naked asian man is in frame, its full frontal nudity and, well, either he does not have a dick or his pubes are that long and bushy that it is engulfed in them and is not in anyway visible. From this point on I could not really focus on the movie, I just kept thinking to myself, that guy didn't have a dick.. What the fuck...

"Counting cards is hard Alan"

"Nah ah Rain man took over a casino and he was a ratard"
"Ratard..?"
Also $16 for a ticket, what the shit is that about? Is that how much it costs to go to see a movie?

Snuggie

So a few people have been talking about these the last few days and well here is the deal with them.

They are great if you want to look like some kind of fucking retarded religious cult learder, or like you have less fashion sense than example 1. And example 2.

Snuggie wearer: Hey man check out my sweet snuggie!!
Normal person: Yeah thats about as cool as aids.
Snuggie wearer: But I am warm and thats all that matters right?
Normal person: No!! And you look like a shit eating cum bucket!

If this conversation arises with any one you know you should probably kill them!

I laughed till I could not breathe.

I was literally crying when I watched both of these videos. I don't know you might not find them as funny as I did but these have to be seen!! I hope you use Mozilla other wise you will not be able to view them propperly. IE is a piece of poo for anyone that is using it just so you know.

School Boy Humor.

Other things that have been going on lately.

Beard Off.

After growing a beard for 2 months and having it look like this. (see below)

I thought I was a fair bit of a man and could out grow anyones beard, well I was proven wrong. Jamie and myself had a beard growing competition. It only lasted for two weeks but here were the results.

Sure his is thicker and less patchy, but, mine is not red! And can you really put a price on that so I mean as far as I am concerned I did win the competition by default because I was not sporting a filthy carrot plantation on my face!

The other week I went to a house party, it was pretty small and low key only about 10 people but after about 5 minutes of being there this chick and her boyfriend or husband or what ever they were were both passed out on the couch ontop of one another. Some one drew a dick on her head and I took a photo with my phone.

Worst drawing of a dick I have ever seen but that is what it was meant to be and I still found it funny. I am not sure how many late 20 something girls end up passed out at parties with dicks drawn on their heads but I am sure it can not be that many.

Skip School, Start Fights.

Last night I finished work and jumped in my car and started driving to Perth, 2 hours later I arrived at the venue, proceeded inside and met up with Byron. I had not seen him since I left Byron Bay and it was soo good to catch up.

They played their set after Break Even, we hung out for a little bit after and then Byron, Michael and myself started driving back to Bunbury. We arrived home at about 3Am. We got up this morning and went and checked the surf which was the sole intention of coming down last night, but alas it was about 1 foot so we ended up not surfing and just hanging out. The show this afternoon was real fun, the scene here is pretty weird, like I am not sure how to explain it but its pretty messed up but kids seem to have fun, I spose thats all that counts as well. But I am not sure if I would fly from the east coast to play shows here.

I hate that my last two posts have both involved hardcore, its like ohh just another bodyboarding kid into hardcore.... Thats cool.... But whatever really I spose these are the things that make up my life. My life is consisting of more and more late nights as well which I am actually beginning to enjoy haha, not really where I want my life to be at for too long but there is something about it that I am getting caught up in at the moment.

Three Day Weekend.

We had a long weekend this weekend and mine went like this.

I finished work on Friday and night and went into the bar to watch Little Birdy. The show was pretty amazing, I had not seen them live or heard much of their stuff before, but I got really syked on it!

Night two. I finished work again and headed out to a party being held by a friend. There was a keg, a beer bong and a carton of UDLs. I was NOT drinking but it was extreemly funny. Jamie on the funnel.

I left there at about 12 and headed to another party that was, alot more rowdy, but there was a lot less alcohol being consumed. I got dragged onto the "dance floor" (driveway) as soon as I got there where I spent the next three hours trying to learn to dance like Rod Stewart. I ended up home at about 3:30Am (possibly photos of this later)

Day three. We headed up to Perth about 10:00Am to go and see Day of Contempt. The show was amazing!!! They were so tight and played every good song. There were not that many people there but apparently Saturday night was way bigger, I way prefered it small anyway. They were so stoked to be playing and the singer gave some little speech that was one of the best rants I have heard in hardcore for a long time! It went a little something like this, (it will probably be a little miss quoted but the message is the same) "Its good to see so many kids getting into hardcore, they may not always know whats really going on or have much of a clue but that does not matter becuase it gives bands the opportunity to tour and make a little bit of money no one is living well off it but yeah." So syked to hear one of the bands that basically started Australian hardcore talk about new kids in the scene as a positive thing and not like most of the other poofs that have been into hardcore for 10 plus years writing off all the "new jacks" saying they are ruining "their" scene.

This third photo of the band is my favortie, they let the strobe light off about twice in the whole set, I saw it start and just fired off as many shots as I could in the 5 seconds it was going and this was the result.
